📖 Description
The national dish of Jordan, made with lamb cooked in fermented dried yogurt and served with rice
🥘 Ingredients
- 2 kg lamb meat
- 1 kg rice
- 500g jameed (dried yogurt)
- 4 onions
- Cardamom, bay leaves
- Pine nuts and almonds for garnish
- Salt and pepper
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1. Boil the meat with onions and spices until tender
- 2. Prepare the jameed sauce by dissolving it in water
- 3. Cook rice separately
- 4. Layer bread, rice, meat, and pour jameed sauce
- 5. Garnish with nuts
