📖 Description

The national dish of Jordan, made with lamb cooked in fermented dried yogurt and served with rice

🥘 Ingredients

  • 2 kg lamb meat
  • 1 kg rice
  • 500g jameed (dried yogurt)
  • 4 onions
  • Cardamom, bay leaves
  • Pine nuts and almonds for garnish
  • Salt and pepper

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1. Boil the meat with onions and spices until tender
  2. 2. Prepare the jameed sauce by dissolving it in water
  3. 3. Cook rice separately
  4. 4. Layer bread, rice, meat, and pour jameed sauce
  5. 5. Garnish with nuts
